I worked on a behaviour tree for a simple snake game during my third year of university, part of the Game AI Programming module that I took. I learned a huge amount and thought that the snake which I created was extremely well suited to the project brief. The snakes behaviour is to follow the wall around clockwise until it knows food is either directly above or below itself, once it sees that the food is there it will determine whether or not it is safe then travel down to get the food and then return back to the top or bottom wall, where it began.
